lighting
Another important thing about DJing to give the audience a club feel and to get them to get up to dance is to have lighting. When I first started I didn’t have any light but when I get the money up to buy a light or two I noticed a difference in the people’s reaction to my gigs. Now when I say lights I mean like disco balls and moon lights and lasers and all. For the past year now I’ve been using a number of different lights. I have a lighting pole that that hangs over my DJ table where the lights hang from. I have a disco ball that spins, a different color moon light that spins with the music and a couple other lights. I also have a fog machine that I use for some on my gigs when it’s necessary. When I usually do is if a gig wants lights, when I first get there I play music that’s kind of slow and good for when people are eating dinner. After everybody is done dinner I usually make my MC make an announcement, that were going to start the dance music now and we want to see everybody dancing. That’s when the house lights go out and my DJ lights turn on. People usually go nuts and really feel that the party is starting. Using DJ lights really attracts to people that u know how to make your audience happy and leave smiling. If you have been DJing for a while now and want to bring it to the next level put some money into getting some club lights.
